Important Information for Coaches
• Preliminary lineup entry deadline for TrackWrestling is 10:00pm on Monday 12/22/2008. Changes to your lineup after this deadline can be made either by calling one of the tournament staff or you can wait until your seeding call-in time slot.
• Seeding criteria needs to be entered by Friday 12/26/2008 at 10:00pm. Again, any changes to seeding information after the deadline can be made either by calling one of the tournament staff or you can wait until your seeding call-in time slot..
• No lineup changes can not be made after your seeding call-in with the exception of scratches.
• We will again be presenting an overall team trophy for the team with the most total points. That team will receive the overall team trophy and will be removed from their division competition. Teams in their division will be moved up one position so teams placing 2nd, 3rd & 4th will be moved to 1st, 2nd & 3rd
• If you haven't sent your payment in, please make sure you make it payable to Holmen Foundation, not Holmen High School or Holmen Wrestling. Refer to the Entry Fees below.

Seeding Criteria
Seeding
- We will be using head to head competition to seed wrestlers.
- Indicate other wrestlers that your wrestler has beaten.
- The wrestlers will first be placed in order using the seeding criteria below, then any wrestler that has beaten a wrestler within
1 slot(s) above him and has not lost to any wrestler below the wrestler will get moved ahead of the wrestler he beat.
- If a wrestler has beaten a wrestler but lost to another wrestler below the wrestler he beat, that wrestler will not be moved.
- Coaches please check the call-in matrix below for your time slot.
- The seeding criteria is used to build a matrix based upon numbers only and the final seeding will be determined by the officials
at the seeding meetings based on all factors.

Arrival
- You may pickup your packet Thursday evening after 7:00pm at the Radisson Hotel. Check at the front desk for the location.
- Team entry is on Friday is on the Second Street side of the LaCrosse Center using the Exibition Hall entrance(North). These are the doors
closest to the Radisson Hotel. Do not use the arena doors. You can proceed directly to the weigh-in area.
- Pick up your packet at the counter if you did not pick it up Thursday evening.
- Included in your packet will be contract for 2009, security badges for each of the following:
- All Participating Wrestlers
- Three(3) Coaches
- One(1) Manager
- One(1) Statistician
- Please use the admissions for qualified people only. These are not for parents, friends, siblings, etc. to watch or coach from the arena area.
- Only team personnel and school personnel will be allowed through the exhibition/weigh-in areas.
- Remember your extra personnel who HELP you during the event, may purchase passes for the same as admission.
- Teams must use the lower level to store your gear. You can not use the arena seating area. The LaCrosse Center will not allow coolers
or bags in the arena seating area. This is a LaCrosse Center policy and voilators will have their items confiscated.
Matches
- We will use ten mats for sessions 1, 2 and 3. We will then go to three mats for session 4.
- Championship matches will be 2-2-2 ... wrestleback matches will be 1-2-2.
- 1st and 3rd place matches will wrestle on the elevated stage. 5th through 12th
place matches will wrestle on the outer mats next to the elevated stage.
- Each placement match will use two officials.
Updates/Paperwork
- You will get updated charts and scores at the beginning of each session at the head table.
- You will receive a score agreement sheet with each rounds score.
- Someone on your team is to turn in a comparison score sheet at the conclusion of EACH ROUND. This is done to prevent any team scoring errors.
Please help by confirming your team score at the conclusion of each round.
- Pickup your weigh-in list for boths days during the third session at the head table.
Publicity/Media
- PLEASE POST the information you are receiving so that students in your school are aware of the event, and help publicize the event in your communities.
- If you have media contacts please enter get them to us as soon as possible.
- There are forms to return for team information both from past years and for this year. We do what we can to put this information in the program based on your input.
- If you have any returning place winners, state qualifiers or state place winners who will be in the event please send us that information.
- The event staff has done a great job of getting you updated information at the close of the event. Please stay a short time at the end to get a copy of all brackets, team scores and information for next year.
Cheerleaders
- Cheerleaders will be checked in separately.
- You will receive security badges for five(5) cheerleaders in uniform and one advisor.
- Cheerleaders will have restricted access will only be allowed to cheer on the end mats during the first 3 sessions.
- Session 4 you will be allowed to cheer on the south side of the arena only.
TrackWrestling
- Lineup entry deadline: 10:00pm Monday December 22nd, 2008.
You will be locked out of TrackWrestling at this time to enter or change your lineups.
- Lineups can be changed after the lineup entry deadline until and including your seeding call in time. If lineup changes are required before your seeding call,
you will have to
contact one of the tournament directors. Otherwise tell your seeding official of the change(s) during your call in.
- Seeding information must be entered after 10:00pm Monday December 22nd, 2008 to
10:00pm , 2008.
- No seeding information can be entered after 10:00pm Monday December 22nd, 2008.
- Reminder ... You must enter the record for every wrestler when you enter your lineups.
Records not entered will automatically place your wrestler at a lower seed.
Awards
- Awards will occur at the conclusion of the matches for the weight class preceding the concluding match.
- We construct an awards stand for all 16 medalists, 12 place winners and 4 second day contestants.
- Awards area will be located by the stairways to facilitate picture taking.
- Please have wrestlers available for awards at the conclusion of a weight class. This is all 16 medalists.
- We request that all 14 champions be available at the conclusion of the awards ceremony for a photograph for media use.
- Team awards will follow the conclusion of the last match.
- There will be four team trophies, one overall team trophy and one per division I, II and III. Competition is across the whole field and the highest placing team by
division will receive one of the three division trophies. The overall team trophy will be for the top team across all division based on the highest point total.
- Trophies for MVW and most falls in the least amount of time is also awarded.
- When team awards are completed, the division with the champion with the least amount of points will receive awards first, and the division with the champion
with the most amount of points will receive awards last.
- Divisions are asked to enter the stage for awards from one side and exit across to the other side.

La Crosse Center Configuration
- There are no changing room facilities available throughout the event.
- Locker Rooms A and B can be used for showering throughout the day. They are not large enough for all wrestlers to be in them at the same time.
- Locker Room C is for Officials use only.
- There are two dressing rooms on the northwest side of the LaCrosse Center near the head table. One is for tournament personnel and the other is
assigned to cheerleaders. Please direct your team to stay away from these facilities
- No towels will be supplied. Wrestlers must supply your own.
- The exhibition hall/weigh-in area can be used for changing, but it is very open. The entrances are draped but caution your personnel to eliminate total nudity
except during weigh-ins. We will control access during weigh-ins and it should be safe at that time
- Full concessions are available from the LaCrosse Center.
- The La Crosse Center WILL NOT ALLOW bags and coolers in the arena seating areas.
- Reminder ... The LaCrosse Center is cleared between session. Please have your wrestlers & staff take there belongings with them and not to leave
them in the center.
